OUTER is a network of independent organizations taking on global sustainability challenges. Our first priority is to mitigate climate change, protect the environment, and improve air quality. This includes areas such as news, health, and economics.
OUTER has very strict ethics in line with our mission. All of our organizations are policy before profit. We operate with 100% renewable energy and aim to lead by example. We have no direct ties to or funding from any fossil fuel companies, industries, or groups that may otherwise influence our mission. Clients have to meet our sustainability requirements before working with us.
We started through our software division, of which some of the world's largest companies are clients. Our code can be found in software used by millions of people on a daily basis.
OUTER means 'outside', which highlights our commitment to the protection of the environment and the planet. It is also related to 'Outer Space', popularised by H. G. Wells.
